Education around internet safety and indecent images

Today, I visited The Rosewood School in Leybourne, West Malling, to deliver an important session on online safety, focusing on the risks of sending or receiving indecent images. The talk was attended by children from all year groups, who listened attentively and engaged with the discussion—some even felt confident enough to answer questions and share their thoughts.

Educating young people about internet safety is vital in helping them understand their vulnerabilities and make informed choices online. Sessions like these play a key role in empowering children to stay safe and responsible in the digital world.

I will continue to deliver assemblies of this nature to as many schools as possible across the area, ensuring that every child has the knowledge and confidence to protect themselves online.
